Police Venturers

Police Venturers is a vocational/theme-based Scouting program that provides for an introduction to a career in policing while also enjoying an outdoor focused program for teens.

Members are exposed to a variety of activities and responsibilities of the local police force through demonstrations, discussions and appropriate hands on experiences.

Police Venturers are 14 to 17 years of age as of September 1 of the program year.

During weekly meetings or weekend outings members work with various Police Services teams e.g. tactical or canine units to learn first-hand about being a police officer. Members are also active in police-oriented community events.

For more information on Police Venturers in your area, please contact your local Area Commissioner.
